Impact of Youth Dance

These workshops have grown out of a research project by the University of Leeds and Yorkshire Dance, working with teenagers and studying the benefits of dance to their health and well-being. The research was funded by Arts Council England and the workshop is supported by CYPDNN.

Develop expertise in teaching and leading dance with young people, inside or outside the schools setting. Explore a range of techniques, developed during the process, to support the positive physical, psychological and social impact of your dance practice. A mix of practical work and conversation, the workshops will explain the research findings and encourage you to share your own experiences and skills through peer learning and two-way practical exchange.
