LOST DOG are offering both workshops and performance opportunities in the North. Lost Dog is a dance theatre company headed by Artistic Director Ben Duke. Lost Dog occupies a unique position in the cultural landscape; drawing in and mixing ideas from theatre, dance, comedy, circus and storytelling in a way no other company does.The company mission is to create performances that use the temporary community of theatre to connect us to ourselves and to each other, their subject matter is the epic and everyday stories we live and share.The medium is a unique mongrel of dance, theatre and comedy.

This creative workshop is an opportunity to explore the company's unique approach to creating contemporary dance theatre. This sessions will encourage participants to get creative in tasks combining movement and voice, elements explored in Lost Dog's newest work 'Juliet & Romeo' which is to be performed at the Riley Theatre on Wed 14 Nov.

This workshop will look at the company's creative methodology with a particular emphasis on the themes and ideas explored in the company's latest work 'Juliet & Romeo'. Through creative tasks, this workshop will investigate how practitioners can draw inspiration from personal experience, exploring this through a range of physical, theatrical and vocal tasks.
Stopgap Dance Accessible Dance CPD Workshop Fri 23 6.00pm Nov 2018 at NSCD Leeds FREE for CYPDNN members (request code)
Drawing on Stopgap's vast experience of inclusive work, this 2 hour workshop will focus on giving dance teachers and leaders the skills and confidence to create an accessible teaching environment. Through practical exploration and discussion, Stopgap will share their ethos and approach to responsive dance teaching.
